Are we approaching a post-antibiotic future? Chemical medicine reaches “end game” terminal failure

As multi-drug resistance continues to spread throughout bacterial populations, we seem inexorably headed toward a future in which antibiotics cease to be of any use whatsoever, experts have warned.

Antibiotic resistance is a natural product of bacterial evolution. Throughout their history, many bacteria have evolved some degree of resistance to toxic chemicals in their environments, which include the defensive chemicals that other organisms produce against them — the very chemicals that antibiotics are based on. So, when a bacterial population is exposed to antibiotics, all the vulnerable organisms die, leaving only the drug-resistant ones to pass their genes on to the next generation.

But this process has been dramatically accelerated by irresponsible use of antibiotics to treat viral infections or non-dangerous bacterial infections, and particularly by the use of antibiotics as growth-promoters in livestock.

‘Nightmare bacteria’

The future was foreshadowed by a shocking case in August, of a 70-year old woman who was admitted to a Reno hospital suffering septic shock from an infection of Klebsiella pneumoniae. After she died from the infection — which failed to respond to antibiotic treatment — samples of the bacteria were sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for analysis.

Researchers found that the strain of K. pneumoniae was resistant to all 26 antibiotics approved for human use in the United States, including the “drug of last resort,” colistin.

K. pneumoniae is naturally present in the gut, and typically only causes infection in people who are weakened by injury or disease, such as hospital patients. The woman had initially acquired the infection while hospitalized for a broken leg in India. Thus, the “nightmare bacteria,” as the CDC calls it, does not appear to be endemic to the United States — yet.

“The ease of global travel does mean that such cases will increase,” said David Brown, chief scientist at Antibiotic Research UK.

The end of modern medicine

The post-antibiotic future may arrive faster than anyone expected, for one simple reason: All antibiotics are derived from only a handful of separate chemical types. And once bacteria develop resistance to one drug, that resistance rapidly generalizes to every drug in the same class.

Additionally, pharmaceutical companies have largely abandoned research into new antibiotics due to low profit margins.

But, ultimately, even the development of new drugs would only slow the end of antibiotic-based medicine. Experts warn that only widespread changes in antibiotic use, including an end to routine use in animal agriculture, can truly stop the problem.

In 2015, World Health Organization head, Margaret Chan, warned that without these changes, we will enter “a post-antibiotic era, in which common infections will once again kill.”

This era will likely arrive within the lifetimes of many people who are alive today. According to projections by the British government’s Review on Antimicrobial Resistance, by 2050, superbugs will be killing 10 million people per year, more than the deaths from cancer and diabetes combined. That is 10 times the number being killed by these infections today. In some countries, such as Nigeria, it is predicted that superbugs will be responsible for a quarter of all deaths by that same year.

Notably, these numbers count deaths from only six drug-resistant pathogens (though not all of them are bacteria): K. pneumoniae, E. coli, MRSA, HIV, TB and malaria.

A post-antibiotic world will not just mean that people will die from infections that can now be treated. It will mean that many now-routine medical procedures will become impossible — including all surgeries, cancer treatments and organ transplants. The deaths caused by the loss of these medical treatments are also not included in the 10 million per year figure.

In Chan’s words, the loss of effective antibiotics will “mean the end of modern medicine as we know it.” (RELATED: See Medicine.news for breaking new on modern medicine’s failures and achievements.)

There are several “fluffers” at CNN and MSNBC that must keep the script exciting upon “delivery” for the people who love fictional news. Some of the top thespians include Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, Chris Hayes, and of course, Rachel Maddow.

From massaging a fake Russian dossier about Trump to caressing the all-too-attractive (imaginary) Russian hackers of the confounded election that went “awry,” the fluffers of fake news are phenomenal at performing their “jobs,” so let us not take anything away from their mad skills.

However, the kings of fake news are nothing but college co-eds compared to the professional hacks, hucksters, charlatans and shills employed at the CDC, the Center for Disease Continuance. There, fake science is bolstered and emboldened by “scientists” and “academics” who have sold their souls to the devil for cold hard cash, and who push the propaganda of the chemical medicine machine better known as the chemical medical industrial complex of the United States of preventable disease epidemics.

The 100 percent synthetic, virtual reality ‘research’ for sheeple who religiously follow scripted, fake CDC science as their shepherd

To put it bluntly, there is no “consensus” on vaccine safety, global warming or the safety of genetically modified organisms in food. Yet, there are several puppets and shills who tell the masses otherwise, declaring that the science has been “settled,” and if you don’t oblige and bow down, then you are “anti-science.” Never, ever question the status quo, they say, or you will be shunned and reprimanded.

Bottom line: The CDC is not working in the best interests of the public it serves, thanks to corporate and “Pharma” lobbying for positions of control in the bureaucracy they have fraudulently influenced for decades, if not since its inception in 1946. After all, the CDC is a for-profit corporation listed on Dun and Bradstreet with a “mission and vision” to take the “health pulse” of the nation regularly, as stated on their website.

CDC scandals, lack of safety research and American-made cover-ups perpetuate chemical medicine’s collateral damage

During the stretch of years from 1999 until now, the CDC has repeatedly lied to the American public, saying that they have removed mercury, contained in the highly toxic compound thimerosal at 50 percent, from all vaccines. In reality, they have most certainly kept it in influenza vaccines which are aggressively recommended for infants and pregnant mothers. Is the CDC now denying that the flu shot is a vaccine? The swine flu vaccine jab also contains thimerosal (mercury) in its multi-dose vials. Zero research has been done on the safety of mercury in vaccines.

In fact, all the CDC does is refer back to “research” done in the 1930s, which claimed that mercury was safe. Considering how far we’ve come with modern medicine, the 1930s are like the dark ages. Should we believe the CDC if they bring back blood-letting too? If you want the truth about vaccines, you won’t get it from the CDC. They fake the science just like CNN fakes the news – it’s all suited to fit the script that makes Big Pharma a fortune at the expense of human health, life and safety.

The Zika virus microcephaly hoax perpetuated by CDC propaganda and mass chemical spraying of humans with Naled pesticide

Dial it back to the 1940s, 50s and 60s, when the Zika virus was discovered and then fully documented as a mild viral infection that never, ever caused microcephaly or brain damage. Outbreaks in Oceania and Southeast Asia infected thousands of people, including three-fourths of the population of an island in the Pacific Ocean. This was known as the “Yap epidemic,” and not one single birth defect from Zika was reported. Oops. CNN and the CDC hope you never research that, and most Americans probably won’t. In fact, most Americans are so doped up on fluoridated water and CNN news that they can’t remember true medical history from five months ago, much less 50 years back. Zika is like a head cold, except if you get it, you’re immune to it for life.

Even though deaths from Zika are very rare, CNN and Bill Gates spread propaganda about microcephaly (babies born with abnormally small heads) being quite common, so watch out pregnant women! Be sure to run to your local Walmart or pharmacy and get shot up with some taxpayer funded, experimental vaccine full of mercury that causes autism spectrum disorder.

The Ebola scare, sponsored by WHO and CDC lies, and a push for a mandatory vaccination

You heard it for weeks before and even during last year’s Super Bowl. Ebola is coming to the United States (the CDC literally imported infected doctors and nurses on purpose to jump start it) and millions of Americans are at risk! Look, up in the sky (in Atlanta and New York, actually), it’s Swine flu, no … it’s Bird Flu, no … it’s Ebola! Toxic Pharma: Fentanyl overdose deaths doubled in just one year

The number of people killed by the painkiller fentanyl doubled in just a single year, according to a recent report from the FDA and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Fentanyl overdose is believed to be responsible for the accidental death of singer-songwriter Prince in April 2016.

For the first time, the report used a more accurate method for calculating the individual drugs involved in overdose deaths. This method showed that in 2013, at least 1,905 people died from fentanyl overdose, representing six deaths per one million people.

Just one year later, the number killed by the drug was 4,200, or 13 deaths per one million people. That’s more than double the prior year’s numbers.

Individual drugs finally tracked

The new report sought to correct a deficiency in the way that the United States has historically tracked drug-related deaths. Traditionally, coroners and medical examiners place codes on death certificates to indicate what types of drugs were involved. But these codes indicate categories, not individual drugs. Thus, both oxycodone and morphine are noted by the code for “natural and semisynthetic opioid analgesics.”

For the new report, the researchers analyzed the text of death certificates issued between 2010 and 2014, including written comments. This allowed a comparison down to the level of specific drugs.

The researchers found that in 2010 and 2011, oxycodone was the most lethal drug in the United States. From 2012 to 2014, it was overtaken by heroin. Cocaine moved back and forth between second and third place throughout the study period.

Fentanyl was the 9th most common cause of drug-related death in 2013, but the following year — when fentanyl deaths doubled — it leaped up to 5th place.

Fentanyl deaths were not the only ones to dramatically increase. Deaths from heroin increased more than threefold from 3,020 in 2010 to 10,863 in 2014. Heroin was also involved in more than a third of cocaine-related deaths.

The study also revealed that 48 percent of death certificates that mentioned a specific drug mentioned more than one drug: 25 percent mentioned two, 12 percent mentioned three, six percent mentioned four and five percent mentioned five or more.

The researchers found that nearly all deaths related to the anti-anxiety drugs alprazolam or diazepam — 95 percent — involved another drug as well.

Painkillers kill more than pain

The new study rounds out the picture of the country’s worsening prescription drug abuse epidemic.

The researchers noted that in recent years, coroners and medical examiners have dramatically improved their practice of reporting specific drugs on death certificates. Thus, some of the increase in deaths may simply be due to better reporting. Not all, of it though. Another recent CDC report, using conventional death certificate codes, also found large increases in drug overdose deaths. In a single year from 2014 to 2015, heroin deaths increased by 20 percent, while deaths from “synthetic opioids other than methadone” (including fentanyl) increased by 72 percent. And while the new study’s focus on individual drugs provides crucial data, it can also obscure part of the bigger picture. Heroin may be the top killer, but that’s only if you count all prescription opioids as separate drugs. If you look at prescription painkillers as a class, they kill far more people than heroin does.

In fact, an analysis of 168,900 autopsies conducted in Florida in 2007 found that prescription drugs killed three times as many people as all cocaine, heroin and all methamphetamines combined. A total of 989 people were killed by street drugs, compared with 2,328 killed by opioid painkillers and 743 killed by anti-anxiety drugs.

Notably, that analysis found not a single death from marijuana. Yet earlier this year, a scandal broke out when it was revealed that pharmaceutical company Insys — whose only product is a form of fentanyl — donated half a million dollars to defeat a ballot proposition that would have legalized marijuana in Arizona.

The irony was not lost on legalization advocates, who have long accused Big Pharma of seeking to prevent marijuana legalization in order to prevent competition from a far safer product.

If you’ve ever wondered how the CDC can afford to do all that it does, look no further than the CDC Foundation. The organization describes itself as some kind of liaison between the CDC and the private sector, existing solely for public benefit, but a quick look at their list of corporate partners reveals a much more sordid story; a story of fake science that is being propagated for industry benefit.

While studying the rather lengthy list of corporate donors — who also sometimes collaborate with the CDC on their project — one might notice that many of them are pharma companies, pesticide makers, and biotech firms. And when considering CDC senior scientist-turned-whistle blower Dr. William Thompson’s recent testimony against the MMR vaccine — one corporate partner stands out among the rest: Merck.

Merck is the manufacturer of the MMR vaccine — the very vaccine on which Dr. Thompson alleges he and his cohorts manipulated data and violated study protocols to protect.

CDC obfuscated MMR vaccine and autism link

In August 2014, Dr. William Thompson confessed that he and his colleagues had participated in an act of serious scientific fraud. Ten years prior, he had worked on a study of the MMR vaccine and published the findings, claiming that the vaccine was not linked to autism. (Related: Learn more about autism.)

However, Dr. Thompson now says that he and the other study authors purposely omitted data that contradicted that outcome. Thompson claims that the CDC did find data showing the MMR vaccine demonstrated a statistically significant effect at the 36-month threshold. This shows that the study found a causal connection between the MMR vaccine and autism, but the evidence never made it to publication.

In a statement, Thompson said “Sometime soon after the meeting, we decided to exclude reporting any race effects, the co-authors scheduled a meeting to destroy documents related to the study. The remaining four co-authors all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room and reviewed and went through all the hard copy documents that we had thought we should discard and put them in a huge garbage can.”

Thompson knew what they were doing was illegal. He himself noted, “I believe we intentionally withheld controversial findings from the final draft of the Pediatrics paper.” Fortunately, Thompson held onto copies of the original documents that had been disposed.

Dr. Thompson penned a letter in 2002 to the then-CDC Director Julie Gerberding because he was growing very concerned about the MMR vaccine study findings, and wrote to her again in 2004. It would appear that Gerberding did little in regard to Thompson’s concern. Following her time at the CDC, Ms. Gerberding went on to become the executive vice president at Merck.

And of course, Merck isn’t the only company that gives money to the CDC Foundation — and indirectly, the CDC. Several other pharma companies like Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi Pastuer, and Pfizer are on the list.

Is ‘fake science’ the norm at the CDC?

When one considers the apparent ties the CDC has to Merck — and countless other corporations — it honestly raises doubts for just about anything the federal agency has put their stamp on. The 2004 “study” features cherry-picked data sets, and reached a conclusion that purposely ignored the facts: it is the epitome of fake science. Their incessant pushing the of the flu vaccine is another example of fake science in the CDC. There is little evidence to suggest that the flu vaccine is beneficial for the average person — and those who need extra protection are unlikely to get it from a vaccine.

The CDC’s webpage on “vaccine effectiveness” claims that studies show the flu vaccine can prevent the flu in 50 to 60 percent of people. However, a vaccine package insert for Flulaval reads,”There have been no controlled trials adequately demonstrating a decrease in influenza disease after vaccination with FLULAVAL.”

The CDC conducts their own studies on these vaccines to see how effective they are. However, these studies are purely observational — which means that no causality can actually be determined. Any number of factors, such as diet, lifestyle, and current health condition, can impact how vulnerable a person is to getting the flu. The agency itself notes that the study results may vary due to differences in design, outcomes measured, and other such tribulations. In other words: the CDC itself does not have an accurate, finite method for testing the actual efficiency of the flu vaccine, they’re just guessing at it.

While observational studies are not necessarily fake science, pretending that observational data is all that is necessary to confer the benefits of something most certainly is fake science.

There is a chemical assault being waged against the children of America, yet far too many parents, lawmakers and policymakers don’t see a thing at all wrong with it: The poisoning of our kids through the use of a mercury-laced substance in vaccines.

That substance is thimerosal, and it is proven to be neurologically toxic – to the point that it really is “settled science,” says Natural News founder/editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, in a newly released podcast.

Adams should know. As the science director for the accredited heavy metals laboratory, CWC Labs, he has personally tested vaccines for their mercury content, having found varying levels of mercury in many. He knows more about heavy metals and their toxicity than most vaccine pushers will ever know. He even wrote a No. 1-selling science book on heavy metals in foods called Food Forensics. So, when he says there is literally a cartel of toxic mercury pushers who are denying the periodic table of elements by pushing toxic mercury in vaccines, they are essentially “medical child molesters,” because they are contributing to childhood brain damage through use of a known neurotoxin.

“As any genuine scientist or chemist knows, there is no such thing as a safe quantity or safe form of mercury for injecting into children. And yet, there is continued advocacy of pushing vaccines that contain mercury, a gross violation of the American Medical Association’s code of ethics,” he says, noting that despite mercury’s neurological toxicity, it is still being given to children deliberately.

In his podcast, Adams makes sure to point out that it may only take a very small amount of mercury-laced thimerosal in a few vaccines to push a child over the edge, neurologically. And he says it can happen even before a baby is born.

In fact, he notes, the earlier vaccines are given, the higher the chance that a baby or young child will be harmed neurologically. Often, children are fine right up until they receive a certain vaccine – one that may contain more mercury than their little brains can handle – and they lapse into a seizure, develop a high temperature and either develop autism afterward or permanent brain damage.

The government is aware of this potential, which is why in the 1980s, the Department of Health and Human Services established a vaccine injury fund to pay out claims to vaccine-harmed individuals through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

Adams also delves a little bit into why thimerosal-laced vaccines are being given to children. A major reason “is population control,” so that elites like vaccine-pusher Bill Gates, through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, can winnow down the number of people in the world who are consuming resources. “Why give kids vaccines that cause such harm” if there isn’t some sinister reason behind it? Adams asks. Brain-damaged kids are also easier to “indoctrinate” in public schools, he points out.

It’s a fallacy to think that the government and vaccine makers are really just trying to “help children,” he adds. If that were the case, the government would have moved to have mercury removed from vaccines long ago.

The Health Ranger also poses this question: If it is so very wrong to harm children through other forms of violence, abuse and neglect (and it is wrong), why isn’t anyone being held responsible for harming kids with vaccines?

He goes on to note that some of the governing elite – in the U.S. but also in other Western societies – have always had a proclivity for abusing children. Such abuse continues to this day in the form of child sex trafficking, child pornography and other forms of abuse. Measles outbreak in L.A. proves vaccine mandates don’t work (but they do create a medical police state)

A recent measles outbreak in Los Angeles County reveals the limitations of California’s strict new compulsory vaccination law, health experts say.

A 2014 measles outbreak traced back to Disneyland infected 145 people in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In reaction, California passed a law requiring all children in public and private schools to be fully vaccinated, with only medical exceptions permitted. The law, which took effect in July, makes California one of only three states that do not accept personal or religious exemptions to vaccine requirements.

The first measles case in the new outbreak was diagnosed in L.A. County in early December. Since then, 19 more people have been infected, 17 of them in the same county.

Small, contained outbreak

To contain the outbreak, county health officials interviewed every infected person to learn everywhere they had gone and everyone they had interacted with during the period in which they were most likely to be contagious. Officials then attempted to figure out who else might have been exposed, such as by scanning patient lists at emergency rooms that had been visited.

Officials then contacted 2,000 people who might have been exposed to the virus. About 10 percent had not been vaccinated against measles, and nearly all of these accepted vaccination or another prophylactic treatment.

Because the current outbreak was confined to a limited social circle, it was relatively easy to trace and contain, said Dr. Jeffrey Gunzenhauser, interim health officer for the L.A. County Department of Public Health. Of the 18 infected people in L.A. County, 15 had at least one clear social connection.

But health officials are still remaining cautious, he said.

“They could’ve driven and let’s say they stopped at a gas station — somebody could’ve gotten exposed.” (RELATED: See more news about infectious disease outbreaks at Oubreak.news)

“Full compliance” impossible to achieve

Public health experts were open about the ways that the case demonstrates the weaknesses of the new compulsory vaccine law, SB 277. They noted that people infected in the recent outbreak ranged in age from young children to senior citizens, and that the most well-represented group was people in their 20s. Other than young children, none of these people will be affected by the new law.

That’s because SB 277 takes advantage of the state’s control over schooling to require vaccination for all schoolchildren. To avoid a bureaucratic nightmare, however, the law only requires vaccine checks at kindergarten and seventh grade. Children in between those ages may have several years before being forced to comply. And while the University of California system has voluntarily agreed to follow the same rules set by SB 277, many people leaving high school will never have their vaccination status checked again. Nor is there any mechanism in place to check the status of people who have already left school.

In other words, actually achieving “full vaccine compliance” across all ages would require a degree of intrusiveness that would be politically untenable, if not outright unconstitutional. Thus SB 277 cannot produce “herd immunity” against measles until nearly all unvaccinated people above the age of 12 have died!

Notably, California never had much of a vaccine compliance crisis to begin with. It is estimated that prior to the passage of SB 277, 94.5 percent of kindergartners were already vaccinated against measles. However, because measles are so contagious, a vaccination rate of 96 to 99 percent is required for herd immunity to function (to protect those who cannot be vaccinated for reasons considered valid by the medical establishment).

It’s unclear if such a high rate of compliance is even a feasible goal. Looking just at the contraindications for the MMR vaccine listed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and vaccine manufacturer Merck, people who should not get the shot include those with immunodeficiency, those with a family history of immunodeficiency, and those with severe allergies to any component in the vaccine, including gelatin or the antibiotic neomycin. Collectively, these people might well total 1 percent or more of the population.

CDC whistleblowers come forward over ethics issues

An anonymous group of scientists from the CDC have joined forces to create a coalition against the uncouth practices the government agency has been undertaking — and to expose them for all they’re worth. The heroic group goes by the acronym CDC SPIDER, the latter half of which stands for Scientists Preserving Integrity, Diligence and Ethics in Research.

In their accusatory letter, the CDC SPIDER group wrote to Carmen S. Villar, Chief of Staff at the CDC, and a copy was sent to the renowned watchdog organization, US Right To Know (USRTK).

“We are a group of scientists at CDC that are very concerned about the current state of ethics at our agency. It appears that our mission is being influenced and shaped by outside parties and rogue interests. It seems that our mission and Congressional intent for our agency is being circumvented by some of our leaders. What concerns us most, is that it is becoming the norm and not the rare exception.”

The letter goes on to note that several senior management officials are clearly aware of what is transpiring and continue to remain silent, merely turning a blind eye and acting as if these unacceptable practices aren’t taking place. The CDC SPIDER group states that some of these officials even encourage these practices.

CDC SPIDER writes that these illegitimate behaviors are taking place at all levels and units of the CDC; no one appears to be immune. The group states, “These questionable and unethical practices threaten to undermine our credibility and reputation as a trusted leader in public health.”

Concerns about the CDC’s ethics have been on the rise for the last several months, the culmination of which truly resides in CDC SPIDER’s momentous letter. While their complaints were filed anonymously for obvious reasons — like fear of retribution — CDC SPIDER could very well be the face of a revolution against a government addled with corporate interests and steeped in fake science.

It is easy to see how the CDC could fall prey to corporate interests. A quick look at the CDC Foundation reveals a huge list of corporations that donated money to the CDC during the 2016 fiscal year. Among the dozens of companies on the list, one can see that several big name brands have made such donations. Abbott Laboratories, Merck, Bayer Corporation, Cargill Inc., The Coca-Cola Company and Pfizer Foundation are just a few of the names on the list.

Oddly enough, one of SPIDER’s complaints, as noted by Carey Gillam for Huffington Post, was that the CDC had developed a “troubling” relationship with the beverage giant Coca-Cola and their nonprofit group International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI). One must wonder if the relationships with other cash donors might also be viewed as unsettling.

The Coca-Cola relationship is particularly startling when you note the fact that several CDC scientists appear to have colluded with them or ILSI to further the beverage industry agenda. One example of this was when the CDC’s Director for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, Barbara Bowman, had to retire after her bad behavior came to light. She was, apparently, even giving a Coke advocate guidance on how to influence world health authorities on sugar and beverage policies.

Another scientist, Dr. Michael Pratt, has come under fire for his close work with ILSI, co-authoring papers funded by Coca-Cola, and most disturbingly, even receiving funding to attend industry-sponsored events and conferences.

While the CDC Foundation notes that their organization is authorized by Congress to “facilitate partnerships between CDC and the private sector,” one can’t help but wonder if the concerns brought forth by CDC SPIDER are possibly related to the foundation.

While the organization appears to make great efforts to create some semblance of ethics, it is truly mind-boggling that a government agency is allowed, indirectly, to take money from major corporations.

Desperate for change, the SPIDER group concluded their letter with a plea for the Director of Staff to put an end to the corrupt practices taking place at the CDC. Whether or not anything will come of it remains to be seen.
